Roboform is one of those must have products, especially if you suffer from CRS (can’t remember stuff) syndrome. I used to sift through all kinds of stuff: loose papers, notepads, PDA, etc. trying to find the right login and password for that crazy website that I use for banking, ebay, craigslist, etc. I had all kinds of ways to keep track of my login passowrds: excel spreadsheet, SplashID, notepad, and many more.

Worse, my partner got me into blogging, website management, article writing. Every single one of these activities required me to create a new login and password. And, how many different email accounts do I have? So many that I can’t even remember what servers they are on.

Needless to say, I could not keep up with each and every one of these sites’ logins and passwords. Finally, my same partner suggested I get Roboform. And, just like that, my amnesia turned into instant recall … really fast.

Just to give you an idea of scale (I think my list is small, compared to others), I have over 260 websites for which Roboform manages my account logins and passwords. The beauty of this product is in its simplicity and ease of ease of use. Essentially you go to the website that requires a login and password, enter in the requested information and the software asks you whether you want to have it save the information for you. If you answer yes, you are then asked to enter a name for the login and that’s it!

When you return to the site, Roboform basically fills in your login information. You press enter and you’re in! Alternatively you can click on the website from within the software’s tool bar and have it navigate to the site and log you in. No muss, no fuss.

Let’s say you want to have the software save multiple login information for the same site but for different users. This is useful, for example, if you share a computer with your spouse and also save at the same bank, but have different accounts. Or, another example is if you manage accounts for multiple people in Twitter, Facebook and other sites.

Editing logins and passwords is just as simple and elegant. You simply click on the toolbar within your browser, select edit and you are now editing each login and password for each website. Again, no muss, no fuss.

Another useful utility within the application is the ability to safely store notes. How many times have you wanted to create a note and save it some place safe? Within the software you can open a notepad of sorts, put in your notes and “lock it” when you logoff.

Too many times I’ve lost logins and passwords to the varios websites to which I login. I can finally say that I don’t need to worry about that anymore. I simply store everything within Roboform and let it manage all of my login details from one simple application.

For the first time since I bought my Apple iPhone 2G last year, I’m seriously considering switching from this half-beloved / half-hated device for the Palm Pre. I was recently on vacation in Cabo San Lucas carrying my iPhone and my laptop. WiFi connection was only available in the lobby of the resort we were staying at. I figured, sure no problem … hey I’m on vacation anyway … work only in the lobby.

The first morning, before the fam woke up, I tiptoed downstairs to the lobby with my Apple iPhone. I looked smugly over at the other travelers with their big bulky laptops furiously tapping away at email. While sitting on one of their luxurious leather couches I tried to connect to the hotel WiFi. To my dismay, I could not get a connection to any WiFi hub. I kept trying for at least 20 minutes, moving from seat to seat, and one end of the lobby to the other. I even sat next to one of those big chunky laptop owners … NO WiFi.

Needless to say, I was NOT a happy camper. At that point I had NO idea what the problem was. Later on in the day I brought my laptop down and had NO problem whatsoever getting a WiFi signal – a good signal too. A couple of evenings later, I happened upon another proud owner of an Apple iPhone who had the exact same WiFi problem.

We eventually moved to another hotel later in our stay. At this point, I had no idea what was going on thinking it was only a signal problem. But, I had the same WiFi issue at this hotel as well. My laptop worked, but my Apple iPhone had a WiFi problem.

It was only a couple of weeks later, while trolling forums that I realized the issue. There were numerous posts from “proud” Apple iPhone owners who complained about their WiFi problem after upgrading to OS 3.0. How could Apple allow this to happen? To this day, it’s still unresolved, even on the three other iPod Touches that I upgraded to OS 3.0.

On another note, my partner, Alex, bought a Palm Pre about two months ago. Now, I’d been a Palm user for several years before switching to the sexy iPhone last year. There were 2 major reasons that I made the switch: big gorgeous screen (I’m an avid amateur photographer) and applications galore. It was just one cool device.

Alex boasted to me that the Palm Pre, with its oh so slightly smaller screen, was an Apple iPhone killer device. One of the main reasons is because of its physical keyboard and multi-tasking capability. I, of course, having already made the leap to the iPhone platform, was not easily impressed.

UNTIL I started experiencing first had this WiFi problem and investigating pricing structures. The WiFi problem, of course, did not happen with Alex. He was vacationing with his Palm Pre in Thailand and Laos, happily emailing me to his heart’s content from free WiFi providers.

So, I started comparison shopping based on pricing structures. AT&T requires a minimum $30 data plan, $5 minimum for 200 text messages a month and some minimum number of minute plan. Sprint, on the other hand (I also have a Sprint plan for the rest of the family), has a data plan for as low as $10 / month – all you can eat, and a $20 / month, unlimited texting for the whole family. Sexiness aside, doing the math on pricing alone, I’d save a bundle by switching to the Palm Pre and perhaps gain reliability, multitasking, and a physical keyboard all in a slimmer package.

How’s that for Steve Jobs’ declaration that the Apple iPhone is the new PC. Both Apple and AT&T need to get off their laurels and start thinking about the customer, before the customer starts thinking about thinking about the competition!

Tonight’s vice-presidential debate is going to be a key event for all of us. Joe Biden is a seasoned veteran and Sarah Palin, while charismatic, is still not a proven entity. This debate will allow us all to really get a view into the both candidates’ ability to articulate their views in full view of the American public.

And wouldn’t you know it? Ahead of today’s debate, Barack Obama and his savvy technolgy team are at it again. Capitalizing on the success of the iPhone and iPod Touch, Barack Obama’s team has launched an application to keep you in touch with the local and national campaign happenings.

You’ll be able to keep track of all kinds of things campaign related … your volunteer buddies in battleground states, caller stats, photos and videos from the campaign trail and a whole lot more.

If you are a Obama / democratic diehard and want to keep abreast of the campaign as it happens, this is a tool for you. You’ll receive updated emails, text and news about the campaign and easily organize local gatherings based on the location of other volunteers in your area. Also, stay informed of the facts about Barack Obama’s and Joe Biden’s stand on critical issues facing all of us.

The application is very well organized with buttons that allow you to: Call Friends, Get Involved, Receive Updates, News, Local Events, Media and Issues. And, of course, there is a button to donate to the cause.

One of the amazing things that Barack and his team has been able to do is mobilize the forces to really capitalize on technology. He is the first to utilize the social networking aspects of the Internet to its fullest extent. And now he has gone even more broadly to your iphone.

Like all iPhone applications, you can download the Barack Obama application from iTunes or directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch. It works with both versions of the iPhone and the iPod Touch. You’ll need to make sure that you have the latest 2.0 software update to load this application.

This presidential campaign is definitely about change for the better. And, Barack Obama’s team has surely stepped up to the plate to keep us all informed about critical issues, when and where it happens. If you’re a news junkie and want to stay informed and get involved, this is a must have application for your Apple device.

By now, you’ve no doubt seen the cool iPhone ads. Luckily, the reality is in line with the hype. The Apple iPhone is one of the few phones that is truly internet friendly. There are many places to visit with a mobile phone, but depending on your phone and connection speeds, you may be seriously disappointed. The iPhone has revolutionized how we access the internet with our cell phones. I know – revolutionize is a strong word, but just look at how many websites offer iPhone content. There are a number of really good websites for your iPhone. The ones listed below are just a few of them.

Facebook is a website that seems to have been designed for an iPhone. There are many mobile applications available for free downloading on Facebook. A visit to this website via your Apple iPhone will allow you to share photos, thoughts, ideas, and more with your entire social network. Online social networking websites are becoming more popular everyday. To get a perspective, just look at how many new Facebook and MySpace accounts are opened everyday. We’re talking hundreds of thousands. And this is not just for teenagers and college kids. With Facebook and an iPhone, you can stay in touch with your teenagers. It’s easy to keep tabs on them if you have them list you as a friend in their Facebook profile. That’ll freak them out! With a few taps of the screen, you can see who their friends are. You will know where they are going and what they are doing because you can easily ask them. This is one way to make websites for your iPhone work for you.

Another website for your iPhone is YouTube. The movies and other items available for download on YouTube are iPhone compatible. You do not need a converter application to download and view content from YouTube on your iPhone. YouTube and Apple have worked together on this so that with your iPhone you can easily access all the video content on YouTube. This comes in handy when you are on a trip or away from your computer and boredom sets in. We do live in an attention deficit time in history, don’t we? But seriously, YouTube does have a lot to offer. From the funny to the absurd to things of a more serious nature, you can always find something there to entertain you. Have bored kids in the back of the car? Hand them YouTube on your iPhone and let them watch short clips from the Cartoon Network. Sitting in a waiting room for what seems like an eternity? Why not check out the content on YouTube and other websites to keep you from being bored to tears. After all, it is much better than just sitting there listening to your hair grow.

Another website that is a must visit for Apple iPhone users is iTunes. This is where you can download a great range of audio, video and text content for your iPhone. With what seems like an endless supply of movies, TV shows, eBooks and music, you could literally spend days searching and downloading everything that appealed to you. This is how iTunes and other websites for your iPhone help keep you entertained.

These are just three of the most popular websites for your iPhone. The great thing about this is that you can access them via your Apple iPhone or with your PC or MAC. How about that for easy access? Has the iPhone revolutionized the communication industry? Perhaps not single-handedly but it sure has contributed to it.

Stay Organized With RTM (Remember The Milk) iPhone application. Here’s why and how…

There are many different applications that you can install on your iPhone, and many of these applications are perfect for streamlining your daily life. This is one feature that the iPhone is perfect at doing, and that is streamlining all of your daily activities into one extremely portable device. Whether you need an application to help you remember what you need to do throughout your day, or one to keep track of your various tasks, there is an application that will work perfectly for you.

Perhaps one of the most popular iPhone application is called Remember The Milk, or RTM. This application is perfect for a wide variety of iPhone users, but what exactly is Remember The Milk?

Remember The Milk application is a powerful talk management service, which allows you to add tasks, view your tasks depending on locations and lists as well as searching throughout your tasks. If you have a busy life, than you can’t afford not to have this amazing application on your iPhone, you will be surprised how it will help organize your life.

One of the coolest features about this application is how you can locate your tasks. Let’s say you are running errands throughout your day, however, they are scattered throughout your city. After you have completed one of the errands, you can look at your iPhone and see which of your other “tasks” are closest to where you currently are located. This is a great way to save time when running errands, and it will make finding your way throughout the city extremely simple and easy.

Another great feature within this application is how you can add tasks to your iPhone. Normally, you would have to grab your iPhone and add a task through the screen manually. However, with this productivity application, you are able to update your tasks by simply e-mailing the application. All you have to do is e-mail the Remember The Milk application, and the task will be updated onto your list immediately. This is perfect when you are on the web and see an important date, then all you have to do is click on your e-mail client and make an e-mail reminding you to attend an event. These applications do nothing but simplify your life and make your schedule seem slightly less hectic.

When you can spend less time organizing your life and more time actually performing the tasks you were organizing, than you will have a truly productive day. This is one of the coolest aspects about the iPhone, and that is how it can make your hectic life seem not so terrible. With applications such as RTM, you are able to organize your life to be extremely productive. In today’s society it is common to seem like you’re running around without getting anything done, however, with Remember The Milk, you will never forget an important event or meeting, plus you will also remember to walk the dog when you get home.

In today’s competitive business world, you have to be ruthless about your bottom-line and constantly take note of the changing financial environment. One of the best ways to do this is to have a device that allows you to accurately control your expenses as well as keep track of how your money is being spent. If you have an Apple iPhone, then you most likely have a life that requires detail and organization. When it comes to finances, you must be extremely organized in order to make sure that your money isn’t being thrown around. And when you have an iPhone, you are able to add applications to your device, that will help organize your life. One of the best productivity applications for the iPhone is the JustAddMoney Expense Tracker.

This amazing iPhone application allows you to keep track of your money. You can also share this information through a multi-user online tracker. This is perfect for a business that wants to be constantly updated on the financial happenings of the company. With this application, you are able to update your expenses in real-time, by entering in checks, receipts, credit card purchases and even how much cash you currently have. Since you are able to add additional users to the expense tracker, you can see how much money everyone has spent before making the next big purchase.

One of the coolest features about this iPhone application is how it can accurately manage your finances, no matter how complex they are. If you are running a business, and you want to keep your decision making employees up-to-date with all of the financial happenings, you can do so by creating an account for them. After you have created an account, you can transfer money from these accounts, organizing expense categories and even create financial reports based on a certain date. This will keep your financial reports extremely organized and easy to understand.

Also, when you have this application, you can have real-time updates to how much money has been spent, and where. This will save you time in waiting for your checks to clear with the bank, and also will keep you from being surprised when you open your credit card billing statement.

Another great iPhone application for the business-minded, as well as those who want to keep information private, is Mobile Password Safe. In today’s internet connected world, it is very important that you have a secure place to store all of your sensitive passwords, and what better place that your cell phone? With your iPhone, you always have access to these passwords, however, only you are able to gain access to the passwords. How this system works is you create labels for your passwords, and then put the actual password within the application.

After you have created the labels, the passwords are actually decrypted into your browser, which means that plain text will never be transferred to the various servers. By doing so, this means your passwords can never be hacked and you are provided with 100% safety and security. If you have many passwords to sensitive locations, or if you just want to keep your online banking password even more protected, you will love this application.

There are many more business type iPhone applications. More and more are being developed every week. Let me know of your favorite iPhone apps.

One really cool thing about the iPhone is how you can add additional applications to the phone, depending on your specific needs. If you are a business professional who needs help organizing your life, than you will love the productivity applications you can download onto your iPhone. However, if you are a simple iPhone user, who just wants to be better connected to the world around you, than there are many applications that you can choose from. One of the most popular applications for the iPhone is the WeatherBug application.

This amazing app allows you to have up-to-date weather readings, which make planning a picnic extremely simple. How many times have you wondered what the weather was going to be like next week? Well, instead of tuning on your nightly news for the long-winded forecast, you can simply look to your iPhone and it will give you a detailed weather forecast.

Another great application that everyone should have on their iPhone is the Food Network Application. This application is perfect for families, as well as those who live alone but enjoy a great meal every night. With this application you are able to discover and read-off the hottest recipes from various Food Network shows. These recipes give you detailed instructions, as well as videos, to over 30,000 recipes. Are you in the mood for particular types of food, but you don’t know exactly what it is? Well, you can browse the index of recipes depending on the type of ingredients it uses, how long it will take to cook as well as even holiday dishes. This application is one of the most useful apps that you can have on your iPhone, especially if you love to cook.

This next application is for those of us who want to “eat, play, and meet.” The application is called buzzd. It uses the iPhone’s GPS capability and notifies you of interesting bars, restaurants, and events. It also shows you if your friends are nearby so that you can hook-up.

Speaking of GPS, the iPhone has a built-in map that guides you to your destination. Use it like you would use Google Maps. Zoom in on where you are. Then use the map to help you navigate to where you want to go. How cool is that?
